Character Description:

Some folks need all day.  Sometimes you just need a day off.  How could you possibly be expected to handle school on a day like this? Simcoe, Amarillo and Citra combine to form a trinity of pine, citrus and dank while a dry but punchy malt bill carry the hefty hop bill. At 4.9%, Ferris is one righteous dude.

Swank’s Take

I think the beer is very aptly named. Reminiscent of the infamous film “Ferris  Bueller’s Day Off” (this can label is VERY DOPE by the way), this beer has a laid-back feel to it, being a session IPA that has a piney palate taste with the citrusy-dank after taste. The hops were not held back with this one; and I am pleased. It is a Friday evening, right after work, and I do not want to get knocked out by a few IIPAs. I got a stag to go to tonight, damnit! (Whassup Rocko, congratulations buddy thanks for reading ha)

Final Verdict

It has a smooth taste as far as hoppy beers go. This session IPA is definitely ideal for those who want to just kick back and have something light with the Bud/Corona/anything else that’s kind of gross drinkers, but not get too knocked on your ass with the heavy-ness that IPA’s tend to bring. I’m going to get another 4-pack because this is one of those “hanging out outside on a hot summer day, but I do not want to be that guy” kind of beers. C’mon, you guys know what I mean.

Check in next week for another review, and stay tuned for the podcast coming soon where we will describe more of the beers in detail! #SwankyOut
